Proper Garage Co. wasn’t started in a boardroom. It started in my own garage.

Like many enthusiasts, I own classic and project vehicles that aren’t driven year-round. Some sit through winter. Some sit while parts are on order. Some sit because life gets busy.

Over the years, I’ve dealt with the same problems most long-term owners eventually face: a dead battery after a few weeks, rodent nesting in an engine bay, dust covering a freshly detailed car, and small preventable issues turning into expensive repairs.

None of those problems felt dramatic. They just felt unnecessary.

Why I Started Proper Garage Co.

What I realized is this: most storage-related damage isn’t bad luck. It’s incomplete preparation.

The market offered two extremes: emergency pest control products, overcomplicated automotive gadgets, and low-quality accessories that don’t last.

I didn’t want to rely on cheap products sourced solely for price. I wanted dependable solutions I would personally trust in my own vehicles.

Proper Garage Co. was built around sourcing and offering the best practical solutions to these common storage problems at a price that remains accessible and fair.

Prevention Over Reaction

I don’t enjoy fixing avoidable problems.

If a car is going to sit for months, I want to know the battery won’t drain, rodents won’t chew wiring, and dust won’t undo hours of detailing.

Designed for Real Storage Scenarios

Everything here is selected with real-world use in mind: seasonal classics, project cars mid-build, RVs, and boats in storage, and vehicles parked in garages or storage units without power.

As much as I want a huge garage, I don't have one. My vehicles end up in a storage unit for the winter and I don't want to check on them too often. 

If it adds complexity without adding protection, it doesn’t belong. If it requires constant babysitting, it doesn’t belong.
